LS: Introduce the Main Character.

[Comments Closed]

A young teen is stirred from their sleep as dawn arrives; punctuated with the sounds of a typical morning's start. A noisy alarm clock manages to ring itself off the bedside table, bouncing to the floor with a clatter before falling silent, causing a dog somewhere in the proximity to go absolutely insane. It's a conscious effort for our character to push themselves out of their comfortable bed, but they manage, sliding out from the covers and quietly walking to the bathroom adjacent to their room.

It's a drowsy start to the day, almost enough for one to pass out on the floor in effort to get back to sleep. But for some reason, our character cannot. There's too much to do today, and too much to ignore for the siren call of sleep to overpower their better sense. Instead, they turn on the faucet, splashing cold water on their face in hopes to fully overcome the lull of dreams that occupied their mind. Drying off with a conveniently placed towel, the teen slowly lifted their head, sleepily addressing themselves in the mirror.

Who, or what, do they see?

This is the first post.

The wording and phrasing of some of this might be confusing; purely because I have not mentioned a lot of defining things about the character. We don't know their gender. We don't know their ethnicity. We don't know where they are, where they're living, or any huge things about them.

This is where you come in.

In your comment, make sure to write the "command", and then a sentence of what you want to happen.

Ex: "Main Character: See self.
You are a ___ with ___ hair and ___ eyes, ___ skin and missing your signature ___."

Don't feel the need to EXACTLY copy that format. But something along those lines would be nice.

I look forward to writing something awesome next week!! :)
